Holding Fast...

Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?"

Easier said than done it seems right?

Today as I fast for Hear the Word Bible Church, I also fast for my family, my friends and myself. I am asking God to reveal His greater purpose in our lives and show up- and SHOW OUT.

I'm so excited about what God has in store for my family. We are all coming together out of NOWHERE it seems. All that praying my grandmother did is finally paying off and I thank the Lord she is around to see it. Thanksgiving is going to be wonderful, all 40 of us, in one house for 4 days. hahah! Let me add that to my prayer list.

The call is going out for Christians everywhere to STAND UP and be accounted for. The world settles deeper and deeper into destruction EVERYDAY and we have to stand in the gap... may seem crazy to everyone else but the word lets us know that will be so!

"18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

1 Corinthians 1: 18-19

It is NOT easy. But Creflo Dollar preached on this very thing and said something very easy to understand but extremely profound. When you focus on what you are NOT supposed to do as a Christian, you are giving your attention to the negative. Instead, focus on what you CAN do as a Christian and get yourself involved!

Creflo..and you are right! One thing I love about the Word of God, is that it reinforces itself over and over and over. So you're right, focus on what we CAN do, and as the bible says "We can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthens us!" We are not limited. We need to STAND UP like you said. But more importantly we need to know who we are, and not back down. Not be convinced by the enemy of something that is not true. Praise the Lord, that He is the Author ...and Finisher of our faith. There is a little something in me that believes that if God is there in the beginning and the end, He's got His hand on all things up in the middle too!
